My second wedding ceremony

…someone pass the smelling salts to my wife.

I would happily get re-married (to my current wife) if I could get the wedding band that played at the Bob Nastonovich wedding last Saturday.  P-P-P-Pavement (did I stutter with excitement?) reunited for the wedding of fellow member Nastonovich.  Silver Jews opened (an opening band for the wedding band?  Brilliant.) playing covers, which would have been worth the price of admission on it’s own.  But then Steve Malkmus jumped on stage to do a Leon Redbone and O’Jays cover.  The remaining members then jumped on stage to complete every indie-rock lover’s dream.  ….except Spiral Stairs.  Hmm, as you may recall the feud between Malkmus and Kannberg was the last straw in the band breaking up.  It probably isn’t a good sign for Coachella organizers (who’ve been trying to “buy” a reunion for years) that Kannberg can’t even show up for his former bandmates wedding.  Nonethless, it had to be one hell of a party.
